Chasing Sunset

While in P.E we lived 10min from this beach. A beach we took our wedding pictures. And seeing the last time i missed capturing the sunset I could not let this opportunity go by. So one afternoon me & my hubby literally chased the sunset. trying to find the best possible spot to capture it. We had to climb a sand dune becuase the road to the beach after the big storm was avalanched shut with the sand dune next to the road. So we had to climb it. And being pregnant did not make this climb easier.

So seeing that sun peaking over that dune just was too much of a tease and motivated me to climb that dune. huffing & puffing all the way but my oh my was it a sight to behold. I could not get the star effect of the sun like my previous shots. Do not know what i was doing wrong. but it was still a beautiful sight.

That was over with in a couple of minutes. When the sun hit the horizon the actual sunset happened in a space of 2 and a half minutes. It was an amazing experience. Especially with my husband there with me.

What I've learnt:
1. Sunsets takes alot of patients to find the right exposure. Though I do not have the total grasp of it. I know that shutter speed (SS) must be very fast to let in as little light because the light of the sunset is very bright if sun is at its highest. Most of my SS was above 800. and as sunsets the SS I used was relatively smaller.

2. Take from every possible angle till you get what you desire. U will learn what works and which law to apply.
